Tenant Legal Workshop

The goal of our Tenant Legal Workshop is to prevent homelessness through providing free, on the spot legal advice and documentation from Texas-licensed attorneys to low-income households. This is a partnership between Legal Aid of Northwest Texas (LANWT), the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP), multiple law firms and HP. HP and DVAP recruit the attorneys to provide landlord/tenant related advice during the clinic.
Workshops are held every second Wednesdays of the month! 
Important details for volunteers:

• Volunteer attorneys offer advice only.  There are no commitments for legal representation.
• Volunteer attorneys have immediate impact and are only committed for the hours they volunteer on the day of the workshop.
• The workshops are for low-income households only. 
• Arrival by 5 PM is strongly encouraged. 
• Forms available to help attendees with self-representation. 
• Sessions begin with a Texas Landlord-Tenant law presentation.
