Pet Food Pantry - Community Outreach

Please ONLY sign up for 1 shift. Our Volunteer Team will then contact you to help get you officially scheduled. Please do not come to the shelter until you have been contacted & scheduled.

Sometimes even the best pet parent can struggle to afford pet food and supplies for their fury family member. As part of the volunteer team, you'll be a key part in helping those pet parents get access to the supplies they need to keep their families together.

We are looking for volunteers to join us at our Dallas Animal Care Center (2400 Lone Star Dr. Dallas, TX 75212) for our drive-thru pet food drive. We will be giving away a limited supply of dog and cat food to help support our community. Volunteers will help with crowd control, registration, & transporting bags of food to customers. These events usually occur on the weekends from 8am to 12pm.

Volunteers must be at least 10 years old, with those under 15 required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is at least 18 years old.

To begin volunteering, you'll need to create a volunteer account and complete a few initial steps. There is a $15 volunteer fee per person to cover the initial costs of onboarding new volunteers. Once these steps are completed, you'll be eligible to sign up for an Orientation session, where you'll receive further training and information.
