Thrift Store Sorter

Receiving, sorting, and processing donated items including but not limited to: books, clothing, electronics, household items, and furniture. Store maintenance, ensuring our store remains attractive by keeping the store tidy and clean. Stocking the sales floor based on Store Managers' direction. Volunteers should be comfortable with lifting at least 5-10 lbs. Volunteers should be comfortable with standing, bending, and walking for extended periods. The number of volunteers per shift has been limited to 6 per shift.

Volunteer duties include but are not limited to:

• Receiving and sorting donated items including but not limited to books, clothing, electronics, household items, and furniture.
• Store maintenance, ensuring our store remains attractive by keeping the store tidy and clean.
• Stocking the sales floor based on Store Managers' direction.
• Volunteers should be comfortable with lifting at least 5-10 lbs.
• Volunteers should be comfortable with standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• The number of volunteers per shift has been limited to 6 per shift.

Safety

The minimum volunteer age for this activity is 13 years old. Volunteers aged 13-15 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian during their shift. Adult volunteers accompanying youth must be included in the headcount on the sign-up screen. All volunteers must sign up and be on the schedule to ensure we do not exceed gathering guidelines.

If you are exhibiting COVID or flu-like symptoms, or have recently gotten over an illness, please refrain from volunteering until you are fully recovered. Your health and safety are our top priority and concern.
