About the Role:
We're seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Event Support Staff for events focused various financial literacy and personal development topics, including but not limited to Goal Setting, Entrepreneurship, Credit Management, Find Scholarships, Homeownership, Physical Fitness, Growth Mindset, Life Insurance, and Estate Planning. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a meaningful event and make a real difference in the lives of those looking to enhance their skills and achieve their full potential - aspiring and current entrepreneurs; college students and adults - creating a more empowered and engaged community. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the event runs smoothly and creates a positive experience for all attendees.
Responsibilities:
- Event Setup (9:00 AM - 10:00 AM): Arrive promptly at 9:00 AM to assist with the physical setup of the event space. This includes arranging tables and chairs according to the event layout, setting up refreshment stations (including arranging food and beverages), and ensuring the venue is clean and organized.
- Attendee Greeting and Support (10:00 AM - 10:00 AM): Welcome attendees with a warm and friendly demeanor. Provide directions, answer questions, and offer general assistance to ensure a smooth registration and entry process.
- Program Support (10:00 AM - 12:30 PM): Assist with various tasks during the event program, as needed. This may include:
- Managing audio-visual equipment (if applicable).
- Assisting speakers or presenters.
- Distributing materials or handouts.
- Guiding attendees to different areas.
- Maintaining a clean and organized event space throughout the program.
- Event Cleanup (12:30 PM - 1:00 PM): Following the program, participate in the cleanup of the event space. This includes clearing tables, removing trash, packing up materials, and rearranging furniture as needed.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Time Commitment:
This role requires a commitment from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
