About this Opportunity
The Networking Assistant volunteer position primarily involves database entry. However, if the volunteer has excellent communication skills, they may also make phone calls or represent the agency within the community. The databases the volunteer will access contain the agencys contacts for various events, projects, and marketing efforts. These databases are housed on our Google server, allowing access and viewing by any staff member as needed.
The Networking Assistant position can be performed remotely. Weekly deadlines will need to be met, and a phone meeting will take place each week between UTH staff and the volunteer. At least 5 hours per week are expected for this position, with a minimum commitment of 2 months.
If the volunteer would also like to represent the agency at public events, they will be expected to dress professionally, be punctual, speak confidently, and be organized with materials. Engagements may include events hosted by the Frisco and Denton Chambers of Commerce, PRSA events, and other opportunities.
Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for this position. Volunteers who succeed in this role are reliable, punctual, well spoken, and proactive.
This position can be fulfilled as a volunteer opportunity or used for class credit, a practicum, or an internship. Before requesting to be considered for this position, please visit our agencys website at www.unitedthroughhope.org to learn more about what we do and whom we serve. A resume and a completed volunteer form will be required, along with an in-person or phone interview.
