Daily:

  • Fill milk crates with a variety of food and toiletries to be ready for those volunteers who are servicing the pantries to pick up.
  • Put away donations, check expiration dates, put items on shelves for crate fillers, store like food together by type and date, and generally keep things neat and organized.
  • Sweep, break down boxes, take out trash

Weekly:

  • General cleaning - cleaning bathroom, desk area, windows, shelving
  • Repackage individually wrapped food items and toiletry items

When needed:

  • Clean crates - milk crates and the large crates used for storage at the warehouse
  • Monday's only - help unload food deliveries from North Texas Food Bank

Some of these task may involve lifting boxes and crates that are 25 pounds or more.

This is a great opportunity and very important to making sure McKinney Little Free Pantry can help to address food insecurity in our community.
