About this Opportunity
Children in foster care need compassionate, dedicated community members to look out for their best interests and speak up when needed.
CASA volunteers are partnered with a child or group of siblings who are involved in the child welfare system. Volunteers spend time with the child/children, gather information about his or her needs from the family, caretakers, teachers, doctors, and caseworkers, and make informed recommendations to the family court about the childs future. The role of a CASA volunteer is simple: to advocate for whatever is in the best interest of the child/children.
You don't need any educational background or special skills; we will provide all the training you need.
In just about 15 hours per month, you can make a difference in a child's life. The next volunteer training begins in October. We hope you join us!
The best way to learn about this volunteer opportunity is to attend an upcoming information session. During the information session, participants will hear about the foster care system, volunteer requirements, pre-service training, and how CASA volunteers change lives.
