About this Opportunity
CrowdDoing supports a social innovation venture lab and a portfolio of social enterprises. Both the lab and the social enterprises aim to achieve systemic change through collaboration with virtual volunteers.
The Nutritionist will assist in providing valuable food and nutrition training. The Nutritionist must be able to communicate important information regarding the relationship between foods and certain diseases. Additionally, they must be able to provide their expertise on the kinds of recipes and meal plans.
This is an unpaid volunteer position.
Tasks:
- Communicate knowledge on the relationship between food and disease
- Provide information regarding herbal medicine and nutrition therapy
- Plan and create new recipes
- Plan and implement meal plans
- Assess nutritional and health concerns as needed
- Educate CrowdDoing members on nutrition issues and healthy eating
- Recognize and assist in implementing nutrition needs to different age groups and populations.
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Competent in food and nutrition sciences
- Competent in food ordinances
- Ability to identify foods that aid in preventing disease
- Ability to provide recipes and meal plans
