About this Opportunity

The purpose of theHarris County Medical Reserve Corps (HCPH MRC) programis to establish a network of medical and non-medical volunteersto strengthen public health, emergency response, and community resiliency during times of emergency as well as throughout the year.

This is accomplished by:

  • Recruiting healthcare professionals and volunteers in supporting roles.
  • Matching volunteers' skills to address community needs.
  • Training volunteers to respond effectively to local emergencies.
  • Improving awareness of individual and communitypreparedness through outreach and education.

Please follow these steps to register as a Harris County MRC Member:

  • Register as an MRC volunteer - Click on link https://www.texasdisastervolunteerregistry.org/
  • Click on Register Now button on the right side of the screen
  • The very first thing on the application page is Organizations click Add Organization
  • A screen will pop up search for Harris County Organizations
  • Click on the + plus sign which drops down all organizations within Harris County.
  • Check mark the option Harris County Medical Reserve Corps then click on the select button
  • The box will go away for you to then finish the application.
