Baytown: Do you love to drive? Do you love people? Volunteers needed to drive patients to their medical and social services appointments

Would you like to help deliver patients to and from appointments in the Baytown area? If you have few hours available once a week on a recurring basis, we would like to speak with you. Requirements of this position are:

• Sign up for shifts 2-weeks in advance to ensure we can plan and account for the number of rides we can support each day
• Shifts are either half or full days, Monday through Friday (Wednesdays are the most busy days of the week )
  • Time frame is between 8am and 4pm
• Minimum age 19 years old
• You willride along with certified driver to learn routes and expectations
• Must take defensive driving course, as assigned by Transportation Manager
• Be prepared to help patients to get in or out of the vehicle; stow away walking assistive aids
• Be prepared to drive in Houston traffic and in the medical center
