About this Opportunity
Join the City of Houston's Disaster Relief & Recovery Debris Removal Volunteer Team and make a difference in times of crisis! The City of Houston is calling on volunteers to assist with debris removal and clean-up efforts across impacted neighborhoods.
When disaster strikes, our community needs helping hands more than ever. The City of Houston is calling compassionate, committed individuals to join our volunteer team to support disaster recovery efforts across the city as needed.
Debris removal Locations TBD
We Need Volunteers to Assist With:
- Volunteers will remove debris, branches, logs, and tree cuttings in neighborhoods impacted
- Place all items on the right-of-way forSolid Waste collection
- Help affected areas to restore access and safety
- Stand and walk for extended periods whileensuring proper disposal.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Review Disaster Relief & Recovery manual (manual will be provided via email)
- Complete the City of Houston Volunteer Waiver Form (form will be provided via email)
- Attend a Disaster Relief & Recovery Debris Removal informational session via TEAMS date TBD
