About this Opportunity

The American Red Cross has a special need for support from people who are an RN, LPN, LVN, APRN, NP, EMT, paramedic, MD/DO or PA with an active, current and unencumbered license. RNs supervise all clinical tasks.

Share your healthcare training with those who need it most. Healthcare providers are needed for the following volunteer opportunities:

  • Provide healthcare services to people impacted by disasters and Red Cross workers during preparedness, response, and recovery (locally or on deployments); OR
  • Participate in chapter preparedness activities, support Disaster Action Team (DAT) responses, shelter operations, emergency aid stations, outreach activities, and recovery planning during a disaster relief operation.

    • Requirements: Active and unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Practice Nurse, Medical Doctor, Doctor of Osteopathy, Physician Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic, Retired RN/LPN/LVN if the state in which the license is granted allows for full scope of practice for the volunteer.
