Volunteers are a vital part of Tidewater Arts Outreach. Our volunteers help to increase the impact of donor contributions and provide happiness and kindness to those in our community who deserve and need it most.

A great way to be involved is as a TAOProgram Host.

This volunteer position involves attending our programs and engaging with participants. For visual arts programs, youll help distribute supplies and possibly paint or draw. For music programs, you may sing, shake an instrument, and/or sway to the music.

Through your caring presence, you will help people in your community take full advantage of our vital arts opportunity.

TAO Program Hosts have a creative spirit and outgoing demeanor. No experience is necessary in the arts or music, just a desire to give back through the arts.

TAO also has other volunteer opportunities (I/T, marketing, admin, database support, videography/photography). Please take a look at thesevolunteer descriptions for more details on how you can help.

*Following approval for volunteering, you will be invited to a training/mentorship session at one of our programs with a staff member. After training has been completed (approximately 1 hour at an arts program), you will be approved to host any program on our calendar that you chose by letting us know via email.
