About this Opportunity

Summer Concert Volunteers are needed to help the Friends of White Clay Creek State Park make the concerts even more entertaining and fun!

  • Volunteers sell 50:50 raffle tickets, an easy job, walking through the crowd where there are eager buyers everywhere. You take their money and hand them their tickets! Raffle ticket sales extend from 6pm to about 7pm.
  • Volunteers also staff the beer garden by selling tickets and making sure buyers are qualified to be served. Beer garden volunteers are required to take and pass a short online class provided by the state of Delaware.The beer garden is open from 6pm to about 8pm.

When:Concerts happen every Wednesday evening, from mid June to the end of August.Volunteers are expected to help with a few concerts, not all of them

Who:Raffle ticket sales suitable for individuals age 18 and over. Age 21 and over to volunteer in the beer garden.

Wear:comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the weather.

Parking:Carpenter Recreation area, 880 New London Road (Highway 896) in Newark.
