About this Opportunity
Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care works together as a team of professionals and volunteers to discover and meet the unique needs of patients at the end of their lives while supporting their families as well. We provide them with both practical and emotional support. Whether it's a private home, skilled nursing facility, adult family home, or the Franciscan Hospice House, we meet our patients where they are to offer both comfort and companionship.
Franciscan Hospice Volunteers provide compassionate presence for our patients, all of whom are within 6 months of dying.
Sitting at the bedside, providing respite for caregivers, walking dogs, reading aloud or delivering audio books, singing songs, playing music, and listening to a patient talk about their life, are ways Hospice volunteers enrich the lives of our patients.
If you are interested in bringing joy to others, we would love to hear from you.
