About this Opportunity
Become a breeder caretaker and help bring future service dogs into the world!
Provide a loving home and care for a breeder dog whose puppies will grow up to become expertly trained service dogs and change lives! With extensive support from Canine Companions, you'll provide care, love and support for an adult breeder dog throughout their breeding journey.
Caretaker Responsibilities:
- Live within driving distance to Canine Companions headquarters in Northern California, as you will bring the dog in as requested for veterinary and breeding appointments.
-As a female caretaker, you will provide care and support throughout the breeding journey, including pregnancy and litter care.
-As a male caretaker, you will provide care and support throughout the breeding journey.

Canine Companions provides services and supports most costs throughout the duration of breeding career, including food for pregnant and nursing females, exams, vaccinations and preventatives, as well as a whelping kit.
