About this Opportunity
StreetCred is seeking volunteers to assist with its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which provides free tax preparation services to families with children receiving care at Boston Medical Center's Pediatric Clinic. The program aims to empower families by helping them access the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit, and it has successfully returned over $17 million to families since its inception in 2016. No previous tax preparation experience is required to join us! Volunteers will receive training and must pass the IRS VITA Tax Exam to become certified. We ask volunteers to commit to at least one four-hour weekly shift from January to April 2025.
