About this Opportunity
We invite all Veterans and their families to join our Vet-to-Vet volunteer program. Our Veteran volunteers are here to help enrich the end of life care we provide for our Veterans. Our program allows you an opportunity to provide a comforting presence by sharing your time with these special individuals during their final days. You can spend time sharing stories, holding their hands as they sleep, speaking with families on the phone or participate in special ceremonies/events. Give back to the veteran's family by sitting with them, help mow the lawn, help clean their home, provide education on VA benefits or simply keep in contact with them during their grieving process. We welcome partnerships with any and all Veteran groups as we are part of the We Honor Veterans program! We have availability all across the state of NC so don't hesitate to reach out. Non-veterans are also welcome to apply. We have opportunities all across the state of NC available only to NC residents. Non-veteran volunteers are also welcome.
