About this Opportunity
Conservation Ambassadors Conservation Ambassadors are dedicated to enhancing the guest experience through personally facilitated experiences. They serve as interpretive guides in stations throughout the Dallas Zoo and are trained to build empathy for wildlife and inspire conservation action. This placement is ideal for people who love to learn, have good verbal communication skills, enjoy interacting with diverse audiences, and are passionate about conservation. Conservation Ambassadors have an active role in communicating directly with guests.
Volunteers often walk to and from placements and may stand for extended periods of time interacting with guests. Reasonable accommodations can be made. The Dallas Zoo is open in all weather conditions and volunteers should come prepared for inclement weather.
Time Commitment:
- Conservation Ambassadors are expected to volunteer a minimum of 24 hours per quarter.
- Shifts are from 9am - 1pm, and 1pm - 5 pm daily.
Give approximately four hours of service 1 day per week: https://www.volgistics.com/appform/364124158
