Hairdresser Volunteer

Licensed hairdressers needed to provide OCCASIONAL haircuts to patients (they may be bedbound and living in one of our IPU's, in a nursing home, assisted living facility or in their own private residences). A haircut/simple style goes a long way in helping a patient to maintain dignity and self esteem.

This service is provided for patients who are not able to afford this on their own. Volunteer has control over where they are willing to go (select distance willing to travel from home or work), how frequently you may be asked to take assignments and ultimately, volunteers have the right to refuse any assignment with no judgment!

Only the first 4 hours of volunteer training from any of our training series' are needed plus TB test, criminal background check--all paid for by agency. (SIDE NOTE: Do you work in a salon and think your coworkers might be interested in doing this type of volunteer work as well? If you can guarantee us a min of 4 employees to sign up, we may be able to bring the training class right to your salon!)
