About this Opportunity
Satisfeed is looking for experienced forklift drivers to assist with organizing and moving food items in our warehouse. Your role will involve operating the forklift to move pallets of food, assisting with organizing donations, and ensuring the safe handling of goods for distribution. Volunteers do not need to serve every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday; we will schedule shifts based on your availability.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to move, stack, and organize food items.
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensure proper storage of food to maintain safety and efficiency in distribution efforts.
Requirements:
- Must have prior experience and be competent in using a forklift.
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver food items.
- Commitment to safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
Impact: By volunteering your forklift driving skills, you’ll play an essential role in helping Satisfeed distribute food to over 1,200 families each month. Your work will ensure that food donations are efficiently handled and organized for timely distribution to those in need.
Time Commitment: Mondays and Thursdays, 1:30 PM-4:30 PM and Saturdays 6:30am-1:30pm (Flexible Scheduling).
