About this Opportunity

Hey you! Do you enjoy being of service? Are you 55 and older? Are you currently living in one of the 5 boroughs of NYC? Well, this post is for you! AmeriCorps Seniors (RSVP) is America’s largest volunteer network for people aged 55 and over. In a nutshell, RSVP helps to match people 55 and older with meaningful volunteer opportunities at our many partners - over 250 before the pandemic shutdown - across New York City looking for support. We also offer perks to age eligible volunteers already serving with our partners who enroll with us! While joining RSVP can mean access to travel reimbursement, it can also bring the added benefit of providing volunteers with extra coverage in case of injury/accident, can also include invites to great workshops covering a variety of topics like health, finance, public benefits and technology; can also include the ability to be recognized through our recognition events and be submitted for national or city wide recognitions as well and access to volunteer managers who can be a resource should you want to add additional assignments to your weekly schedule or summers off! And when you enroll in AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP, you don't just get credit for the great work you do; you join a community and it also help us continue to support the wonderful work volunteers like you and nonprofits across the five boroughs do to make this city great! So, if you are ready for your next volunteering project, reach out today!
