About this Opportunity

Are you passionate about helping families thrive? Join us as a Childcare Volunteer! The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) is seeking caring and responsible volunteers to provide childcare during our family skills training sessions. This is a temporary, 7-week opportunity to support families in your community while making a difference in the lives of children.

What You’ll Do: Provide safe and engaging childcare for children (ages 0-3 or older siblings) while parents attend group sessions. Assist with activities, games, and supervision to ensure a positive experience for the children. Work alongside program staff to maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and secure environment.

Schedule: When: Two nights a week (e.g., Tuesdays and Thursdays) Time: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Duration: 14 weeks (with potential flexibility on weekly attendance) Location: 6505 Belcrest Road Hyattsville MD 20782
