About this Opportunity

Bristol Hospice of Madison is seeking volunteers to provide services such as companionship, music therapy, art therapy, pet therapy, assistance with special projects, and more to patients throughout the Madison area. With 1 hour a week, you can make a difference!

Who are we?Bristol Hospice is a growing organization that is graciously committed to our mission that all patients and families entrusted to our care will be treated with the highest level of compassion, respect, and quality of care. What do we do? Bristol Hospice provides hospice services to meet the physical, pscyho-social, and spiritual needs of individuals at the end of life. We focus on an individualized plan of care, which may include the following services: nursing, physicians, hospice aides, spiritual support, therapy, dietary, counseling, volunteers, and more. How can YOU help? Volunteers are an important part of the hospice model. Volunteers provide special compassionate presence and support to our patients and families in ways that only a volunteer can. When a volunteer visits a patient, they are visiting the patient because they want to be there. It's not a job or an obligation. That is a powerful action for our patients and families!

How Can Bristol Help YOU? When you become a Bristol Hospice Volunteer, you receive comprehensive training, ongoing support, and the appreciation you deserve to assure you that your contribution will not go unseen. Whether you are volunteering as a companion, helping to send birthday cards, or gifting a patient with your musical talents, your time and efforts will be cherished by the patients, their families, and the entire Bristol Hospice team.
