AccentCare Hospice of Pasco County is currently seeking compassionate members of our community to serve as senior companions. By becoming a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to provide social and emotional support to seniors in need, brightening their day and making a positive impact on their lives. We are currently looking for help with the following:
Respite Volunteers - provide 1-2 hour long visits to patients, allowing family caregivers to make a much-needed break and time for themselves.
Veteran Volunteers - connect with your fellow servicemen and women in a way others cannot, celebrating their service and their lives.
Music Companion and Spiritual Companion Volunteers - share your musical talent or spiritual comfort with patients and families to brighten their days.
Art Classes/Crafting Volunteers - visit patient homes or facilities and provide fun crafting or art classes.
Legacy Volunteers - visit patients in homes and assisted living facilities, using creative and artistic skills to create a lasting momento that will help families remember their loved ones.
Pet Therapy Volunteers - certified therapy animals can accompany you on visits to provide comfort and joy to patients.
Massage/Reiki Volunteers - licensed massage therapists or certified Reiki masters can visit patients to provide soothing relief.
Cosmetology Volunteers - licensed cosmetologists can visit homebound patients for hair and nail services to make them feel their best.
