About this Opportunity
We're looking for weekly volunteers to tutor underserved students in Holyoke's most disadvantaged neighborhoods! Come be part of closing the education gap, building a strong community, and helping our children realize they are smart, capable, and indispensable! As a Homework House tutor, you'll work with elementary or middle school kids, helping them with school assignments as well as extra lessons provided by our teachers in reading and math skills. Usually, you'll work with the same small group of students each week! Your presence can make the difference between a child who falls through the cracks and a child who values their own mind and education, gets along well with others, and is ready to make a difference as an adult.
