Hospice Volunteer

Beacon Hospice is looking for volunteers to help provide companionship with people who are finishing their journey on Earth. Bring joy to someone’s life, brighten someone’s day with a visit.

Hospice volunteers can make a huge difference in a variety of ways which include:

• Offering a companionship.
• Reading and writing letters .
• Playing chess, cards, and board games.

Hospice volunteering is extraordinarily gratifying; prerequisites are:

• Compassion.
• Respect for all ways of life.
• The ability to listen and be comfortable in silence.

Beacon Hospice will train individuals who interested in helping others find some comfort in their last days. You can give as a little as an hour a month or as much as you would like. You can make a difference in someone’s life. You must be at least 16 years old to volunteer, please call 413-543-3133.
