About this Opportunity

Train to be a supportive listener, provide referrals, make safety plans with survivors, share information about navigating the civil legal system, and provide emotional support.

  • Learn about social service resources in the community.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of domestic violence - useful across all public services.
  • Acquire triage skills - prioritizing needs and crisis support.
  • Advance your soft skills such adaptability, critical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal communication.
  • Extensive training provided.

Qualifications:

  • Awareness of issues of domestic violence, homelessness, and diversity a plus.
  • Bilingual volunteers desired in ANY language!
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Shifts available Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.
