About this Opportunity
JOIN OUR POWERHOUSE MOVEMENT OF NEIGHBORS! We seek drivers for daily meal deliveries throughout Lake County in Illinois. Drivers typically commit to 2-3 hours per day for a minimum of one day per week.
We are Lake County's premier provider of fresh, nutritious meals to homebound older adults and others unable to prepare their own food at home. Our mission is to help eradicate hunger and social isolation in the communities we serve.
Requirements: Driver’s license, current insurance, reliable vehicle. Delivery driver volunteers need to present themselves professionally and have friendly, caring disposition. Background check and online training session required.

Meals on Wheels Northeastern Illinois fosters health and contributes to individual well-being and independence by delivering nutritious meals, medically prescribed diets, and providing other supportive services to the home bound, elderly, disabled and others temporarily unable to care for their nutritional needs.
