About this Opportunity
At Save The Bay’s Hamilton Family Aquarium, our front desk volunteers welcome guests and support the gift shop through point of sale, restocking, and organizing.
Role & Responsibilities: Complete all gift shop sales transactions. Restock the gift shop as needed throughout the day. Keep the gift shop clean/organized. Restock and organize the literature rack. Engage with guests entering/exiting the aquarium and answer any questions. Encourage people to fill out the feedback survey. Reliable and timely attendance for shifts.
Commitment: 1 shift per week for a period of 4 months; you are more than welcome to commit to multiple shifts per week. Gift Application and training process.Interested volunteers will complete an online application.
Qualified applicants will be offered a brief interview via Zoom and will be able to ask any questions about the program. Accepted applicants will be sent training materials to read and select an ongoing schedule. During your first shift, our aquarium managers will orient you to the building and train you on the point of sale system (Square).
