About this Opportunity
Komak is a volunteer run, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide short-term assistance to fill a financial gap in living expenses for cancer patients unable to work during their treatment. Komak hosts special events throughout the year to raise funds and awareness (89% of funds raised go directly to our clients). Past events have included: Art Shows showcasing local artists; Trivia Nights at wineries and cider houses in the Portland metro area; holiday art/craft events; and an annual Persian Dinner. We are looking for volunteers to assist us with the planning, set up and execution of these events. Dates, times and locations for each event is announced several months in advance and volunteers may help out on the days that they are available. Most events require a 2-4 hour commitment. It takes a lot of people to put together these events and we would appreciate the gift of your time and talent!
