About this Opportunity

Conference Virtual Help Desk Support volunteers needed!

We are looking for energetic people who are enthusiastic about learning about accessible digital design to assist instructors and facilitate sessions.

John Slatin AccessU is a four day hybrid conference where tech professionals, content creators, policymakers, and advocates come together for deep learning in accessible digital design. The conference will be held May 12-15, 2025. Participants will be attending virtually from all over the word or in person at the beautiful St. Edward’s University campus in Austin, Texas.

Virtual Help Desk duties include:

Monitor the Help Slack Channel and ensure all questions are answered or recognized while getting answer(s). Troubleshoot login challenges with Zoom Events.

All volunteers are expected to:

Attend Mandatory Volunteer Orientation and Training. Accept invitations to join AccessU Slack Workspace and Volunteer Channels. Communicate via Slack, Text or Email as needed prior to and during the conference. Work 4 hours per day they are scheduled.

All volunteers will receive the following:

Knowbility t-shirt to keep and wear while volunteering at AccessU 2025 Volunteers who work a half-day shift (4 hrs) can spend the rest of the day attending classes at the AccessU Conference. Anyone who volunteers for a full-day shift (8 hrs) can come back the next day and attend activities including; workshops, classes, keynotes, or social activities for free!
