Daily Operations

Support the daily operations of the African American Historical & Cultural Museum by welcoming visitors and assisting during open hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This role helps ensure a positive visitor experience while advancing the museums mission to preserve and share local history.

Greet and welcome visitors to the museum during open hours Provide general information about exhibits and answer basic questions Monitor exhibit areas to ensure a safe and respectful environment Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the museum space Support basic operations such as tracking visitor attendance or directing guests Represent the museum in a friendly and professional manner.

Friendly and welcoming attitude with strong interpersonal skills Interest in history, culture, or community engagement preferred, but not required. Reliable and able to commit to scheduled volunteer shifts.
