Volunteer Services Receptionist/SHIIP Scheduler

The Volunteer Services Office Receptionist supports Volunteer Services core function of giving the health care wed like our loved ones to receive. Volunteers are key members of our team, providing a warm and welcoming presence at the volunteer office! By answering phones, delivering patient items, and supporting office projects, Office Receptions ensure the smooth function of one of the largest departments in the hospital. Additionally, Receptionists help patients and members of the community schedule appointments with our Senior Health Information Insurance Program (SHIIP) Counselor Volunteers, a vital program that helps individuals sign up for or review Medicare plans.

If you are able to converse and feel comfortable with a wide variety of people then this would be a great assignment for you. You also need to have a clear speaking voice and be able to answer phones. Good judgment in making decisions about how to assist patients and visitors and knowing when to direct questions to the appropriate person are also important to this assignment.

Shifts:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 12pm or 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.
