About this Opportunity
United Way of Muscatine's Educate United Affinity Group is looking for Math Mentor Volunteerswho will come in to Jefferson Elementary School one time per week during a 30 minute math block and work 4th graders on a 1-1 or 2-1 basis. The children will rotate sovolunteers will see all or a good portion of the kids in their assigned class each time. The MathMentorswill work with kids on math problems using flash cardsor other materials provided by the school. We ask that volunteers commit to helping for the duration of the school year.Volunteers are needed during the following times. Volunteers can choose the day of the week (M-F) that works best for them.MathMentors:1 volunteer for8:30-9:001 volunteer for 10:55-11:201 volunteer for 1:15-1:45
