About this Opportunity
United Way of Muscatine's Educate United Affinity group is looking for Reading Mentors for Jefferson Elementary School. Reading Mentors will go to the school one time per week during a 1 hourreadingblock and work kids on a 1-1 or 2-1 basis. The children will rotate sovolunteers will see all or a good portion of the kids in their assigned class each time. TheReadingMentorswillreadto the children and have the childrenreadto them.ReadingMentorscan bring an age appropriate book or use one the school has.
Volunteers are needed during the following times. Monday-Friday options are available:
3 volunteers for Kindergarten from 8:30-9:302 volunteers for 1st grade from 9:30-10:302 volunteers for 2nd grade from 10:30-11:30Issue area
