ACTS Thrift Store Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with ACTS Thrift Donation Center!

Please note: All volunteers must complete and submit the online volunteer application, found on theACTS website, prior to volunteering.

Our main concern is the health and safety of volunteers, staff, and our community and we have the following new policies in place for our volunteers.

Volunteers:

• Should stay home if feeling unwell (fever, cough, etc.)
• Be symptom free for 14 days prior totheirvolunteer shift
• Temperature takenat beginning of shift - will be asked to go home if temp above 100.4 F / 38 C
• Wear face covering
• Social distancing
• Wash / sanitize hands frequently
• Sanitize shared equipment and workspaces
• Should alert theprogram managerif they exhibit symptoms or test positive for COVID-19within 14 days aftertheir volunteer shift

Thrift Store volunteers process donations, stock shelves, display items, and perform sales floor duties interacting with customers.

The address is 3661 Canal Road, Dumfries, VA.

Thrift Store volunteer hours are:

Monday - Wednesday: 10am - 7pm
Thursday - Friday: 10am - 8pm
Saturday: 9am - 8pm
Sunday: Closed

The Thrift Store and Thrift Donation Center are closed on Federal Holidays and follows the OPM guidelines on inclement weather for Federal Employees.
