About this Opportunity

Your local American Red Cross office is seeking volunteers to assist with digital media and/or writing related projects that support our communications team here in Northern New England. Are you a detail-oriented individual who likes working behind the scenes? This could be a great way for you to give back to your community in a meaningful way. Here is what you could do as a Communications Volunteer:

Red Cross Digital Media Volunteers use their social media skill set to help maintain and amplify the Red Cross message, as well as help community members on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Digital Media Volunteers may be trained to help with tasks like social care, social monitoring and content creation, and they may be asked to post from personal or regional social media accounts.

Red Cross Bloggers and Feature Writers are a part of a creative content volunteer team that creates professionally-written content for news releases, media alerts, and regional platforms including blogs, social media feeds, websites and other outlets.

In addition to being detail oriented we are seeking someone who is passionate about our Red Cross mission, has at least basic computer skills, and effective communication skills. This role can provide you with professional communications experience with a highly respected organization. If you would like to join the team, please sign up at redcross.org/volunteer.

Not the role for you? Check out other available opportunities at redcross.org/volunteerNNE.

The American Red Cross aspires to be an organization fully committed to diversity and inclusion by creating and maintaining a diverse, high-performing workforce of employees and volunteers who reflect all communities we serve.

Our need for volunteers is constant and our guidelines reflect the latest CDC safety recommendations and follow the national and local government laws. COVID-19 vaccination is strongly encouraged and is required for in-person volunteer roles.
