AARP Foundations Tax-Aide Is Looking for Volunteers (Littleton NH)

Each year over 300 volunteers with NH Tax-Aide assist more than 19,000 taxpayers with their tax returns. We are looking for compassionate and friendly people to join our volunteer team for the upcoming tax season. We'll provide the training and support to help you learn new skills, and you'll get a great feeling from helping those in need. This year wewill continue to offerNO CONTACTor entirelyVIRTUALtax services whilehoping to meet in personwith volunteers and taxpayers once again. There will be an option for you if your situation permits.We have many roles that dont involve preparing taxes.Are any of the following roles a good fit for you?

Tax Preparers/Counselorswork with taxpayers directly by filling out tax returns. If you have no previous experience, youll get the training you need and will also receive IRS certification.

Client Facilitatorswelcome taxpayers and assist with coordination of taxpayers at local sites, help organize their paperwork, and manage the overall flow of service. Managing taxpayer appointmentsfrom the comfort of your homeis also an option!

Technology Coordinatorsassist with site equipment, website development, network and/or WIFI setups, appointment scheduling and database set-up at the local and district levels.

Communication Coordinatorsrecruit volunteers and market the program to prospective volunteers at the local level.

Administrative Coordinatorsassist with recordkeeping at the district level.

Tax law and software instructorsare needed as well as those willing to present administrative policies and procedures.

Speak a second language?We have a big demand for bilingual speakers in all roles, especially dedicated interpreters who can assist other volunteers.
