Buddy Up: Delight Participant Day

Providence ElderPlace is an innovative program of services for older adults. Providence ElderPlace helps older adults remain as healthy and independent as possible in the community for as long as possible.

Volunteer Friend:Visit anelderly, wantto make adifference, but afraid to attempt alone.

Great opportunity in school break, buddy up with your bestie and make a difference in the elderly community.

Here's your chance to build a relationship and make a difference in someone's life. Bring joy by sharing conversations, music, laughter.

The right fit for this volunteer opportunity is someone whois comfortable visiting once or moremonthly with their participant.

• Experience with seniors is a plus (we would especially appreciate volunteers that have experienced or seen people living through loneliness, dementia, Depressive Disorder or PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder).
• Enjoy conversation.

• 18 + years of age
• Patience
• Compassion

Avirtual new volunteer orientation is required as well as a background check, and free medical screening for contagious diseases-which includes COVID 19 vaccination. Training is offered as needed.
