Happiness is Only Real When Shared - Spanish Speaking Visitor Needed

Providence Elder Place is an innovative program of services for older adults. Providence Elder Place helps older adults remain as healthy and independent as possible in the community for as long as possible.

Your wiliness to share your spare hour with the lonely elderly will make a huge difference.

One of our seniors would love to have an in-person visitor who can speak in Spanish with participant.

Participant is very social, living in an Adult Family Home and feels isolated. Participant has no interactions with other residents at the home due to language being a barrier.

Participant has some mild cognitive impairment but can hold a conversation fairly well. Your time spent with her will be cherished!!

You can give as little as an hour biweekly. Schedules are flexible; follow whatever works for you and your senior companion. Bring a buddy if you want!

No prior experience required. Training and education provided.

Guidelines:

• 18+ years of age
• Feel comfortable interacting with people at different cognitive levels.
• Be a good listener.
• Dependable
• Patient
• Compassionate
