Do you want to make a difference in the fight against poverty? Join Solid Ground's Board of Directors!Solid Ground is dedicated to ending poverty and advancing social justice by breaking down barriers and promoting stability.We're looking for passionate, diverse individuals to help guide our mission of ending poverty and advancing social justice.

As a Board Member, you'll play a key role in shaping our policies, advocating for change, and engaging with the community.What you'll do:

  • Policy Making: Help define and oversee the agencys mission, goals, and strategies.
  • Fiscal & Legal Oversight: Ensure resources, accountability, and legal compliance.
  • Fundraising & Advocacy: Participate in fundraising, advocate for our mission, and engage with the community.
  • CEO Evaluation: Help hire and assess the CEOs performance.
  • Board Development: Support the Boards productivity and foster effective collaboration with staff.

Commitment:Minimum 2-year term, 5-8 hours/month, including monthly meetings and committee work.

Qualifications:We encourage individuals from underrepresented backgrounds, including those with lived experience of poverty, homelessness, or oppression. Experience in fundraising, Human Resources (HR), human services, housing, youth work, or behavioral health is a plus.
