About this Opportunity
Youth homelessness is a serious issue in the Twin Cities, but you can help keep The Salvation Army's youth shelter running.
Booth Brown House, our youth housing facility only 3 blocks from the Fair grounds, opens its parking lot for State Fair visitors as a place to park. Money raised helps to serve our young residents. Volunteers are needed to direct cars to an open spot and monitor the lot for openings.Please note this event is outdoors - rain or shine! The ability to stand, walk around quickly, and possibly ride a bike around the parking lot to direct cars is recommended. There is a role for everyone.All volunteers receive one ticket to the Minnesota State Fair for each shift served as a thank you!Dates:August 21 - September 1Shifts:7:45 a.m. - Noon, 11:45 a.m.- 4 p.m., and 3:45 - 8:00 p.m.
