Invasive Species Volunteer

Calling allnature lovers! TrueFriends is looking for volunteers like you whoare interested in conservation andarentafraid to get their hands dirty.By joining our Invasive Species Volunteer Group,youllmake a differenceby not onlyprotecting the native habitat,but also improving our grounds for the enjoymentof visitors and respite participants.

Schedule:

• Springand Fall
• 2-4 opportunities in the Springand 2-4 opportunities in the Fall
• 2-3 hours at a time

As an Invasive Species Volunteer you will:

• Assist in the removal of invasive species including garlic mustard and buckthorn
• Pull and bag mature flowering garlic mustard in the Spring
• Cut and daub small buckthorn plants in the Fall.
• Receive training on how to identify and remove each species

You should apply if you are...

• Age 18+ unless accompanied by an adult.
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Physically able to crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds
• Happy working collaboratively in a group
