About this Opportunity
The Minnesota State Arts Board seeks passionate individuals to serve as grant panelists, helping evaluate applications and ensure public funds support impactful arts projects. No professional arts experience is required-just a strong interest in the arts and a commitment to thoughtful review.
Which Program is Right for You?
Project Grant Panelists ($300 stipend)
- Arts Education (April-June) - Supporting arts learning experiences for all ages.
- Accessible Arts (July-September) - Expanding access to the arts for people with disabilities.
- Creative Individuals (July-September) - Supporting artists and culture bearers.
- Arts Experiences (August-November) - Funding meaningful arts events and programs.
- Cultural Expression (September-November) - Celebrating cultural identity through the arts.
Responsibilities:
- Serve a 3 to 4-week term.
- Review and score 25-30 applications online.
- Attend a live virtual training.
- Participate in a full-day virtual panel meeting to discuss applications.
Who Can Apply?
Panelists must:
Be a Minnesota resident.
Have internet access, a computer, and intermediate computer skills.
Have a background in at least one art form, artistic tradition, arts administration or experience with a nonprofit or government organization serving the public.
Commit to completing all aspects of the grant application review.
Participate in a virtual public review meeting.
