About this Opportunity
To take high quality photos of all fosters coming into rescue during Intake, at M&G events, at Foster homes or special events. Submit/Share photos via Dropbox with other volunteers so they can be used in Social Media, Fundraising or other campaigns as needed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to take high-quality photos using a professional camera
- Ability to attend one or two events per month, varies depending on number of photographers
- Access to a computer
- Knowledge of and access to computer software that enhances quality of photos
- Knowledge of how to use DropBox (or ability to learn)
- Ability to effectively work with diverse groups of individuals
- Interest in and some knowledge of animal welfare issues as it relates to companion animals
- Must be able to handle the emotional aspect of work in an animal welfare environment
Specific Responsibilities / Tasks:
- Attend Safe Hands events and take photos of foster animals, fosters, and guests
- If needed, visit foster/adopter homes to highlight or showcase a particular animal
- Edit photos as needed for quality and to obtain a specific effect
- Upload photos from events into DropBox within 2-3 days of event
- Help with special projects; calendars, fundraising signage and cards
- Be a good ambassador for Safe Hands Rescue.
- Be positive, friendly and welcoming.
Commitment:
- One to two activities per month for 2-3 hours per volunteer opportunity (varies depending on number of photographers volunteering)
- Various special occasion events during the year, 2-5 hours per event
- Time spent per event to cull, edit and communicate delivery of image files to Dropbox location for Safe Hands Rescue usage
