Happy Feet Registration Desk

Help bring joy to the feet of children!

Many students in Muskegon County have never had their own brand new pair of shoes. Mission for Area People has a program to change that!

We are in need of volunteers to man our registration desk for the Happy Feet Back to School Shoe Giveaway! There are opportunities to volunteer on 3 separate days with 3 two-hour time blocks each day. We are hopeful to have at least two volunteers during each time block and you are welcome to sign up for as many blocks as you like, just see our other postings!

Persons interested in this role will be handling private client information, so please be sensitive to client privacy as well as familiar with the following types of documentation we will be asking for:

- Proof of income (pay stubs, SSD/I, Cash Assistance, etc., keep in mind some families may not have any income to report)

- Parent photo ID (for identification purposes as well as to confirm client lives in Muskegon County)

- Proof the child resides in the home (DHHS paperwork, school IDs, tax returns, birth certificates, etc.)

Please note, this is for children attending Kindergarten through 12th grade only, so confirmation the child is at least 5 years of age or enrolled in school may also be needed.
