Host Neighbor/Ambassador Leadership Team

Identify other community leaders and assist them in reaching their neighbors,
in order to create and sustain positive change within their communities
Establish positive relationships with all neighbors on their block
Attend scheduled Host Neighbor meetings
Participate in ongoing trainings to aid in program growth, and selfdevelopment
Contact neighbors by phone, mail or email, and send all informational
materials in a timely manner
Assist the Public Safety Outreach Coordinator in conducting surveys/outreach
events in order to better understand the needs and wants of the residents
living in Seeds of Promises target areas
Host meetings for your block to build relationships and understand resident
concerns
Help community residents set goals & objectives for their block
Provide updated information on safety programing and assist in the planning
and/or hosting of Public Safety Program community events
Encourage neighbors to beautify their yards, and to adhere to Code
Compliance regulations through the City of Grand Rapids to avoid potential
citations
Keep residents informed of changes occurring within their community
