About this Opportunity
What: Make students feel welcomed and supported as they complete their homework and develop literacy, math, and social and emotional skills. Volunteers also have the opportunity to become STARS literacy coaches!
Why: Newcomer students are eager to learn English and excel in the classroom. Providing one-on-one support helps them become and remain active, engaged students.
We ask for a consistent weekly or monthly commitment, but volunteers have the flexibility to set their own schedules any time between Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.
