Construction Core Volunteer

Habitat for Humanity is building two homes this year. A Veteran Build in East Peoria and a second home our Komatsu Build (next to our 600 E. Illinois home which was built in 2022) in Peoria. Our Veteran Build will begin construction in August and our Komatsu Build will start construction beginning of August as well. The start date is TBA at this time. We have started renovating a home at 114 Mabee Ave. in East Peoria that will be for a Veteran Family to enjoy for many years. Core volunteers are needed. Core volunteers are out on the job site doing hands-on work alongside construction staff, volunteer groups and homeowners.

Core volunteers commit to volunteer at least 4 hours each week and assemble at the worksite on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during the build season. The day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends around 12:00 p.m.

We supply all the tools and materials for the day, including safety glasses and hard hats. You are welcome to bring your own, though, if you'd rather.
